The Training Process:
The licences depend on what vehicle is used and the type of environment it is used in.
- Refresher Courses – 1 Day: Experienced operators with lapsed licences
- Mini Courses – 3 Days: for Experienced operators without formal training
- Full Courses – 5 days: Beginners with no experience and/or no previous training
All courses start with classroom based training that will cover the theoretical aspects including; all current health and safety requirements and a short multiple-choice theory test. Next we move onto the practical training element of the course. Important areas covered are; explanation as to the operation of the relevant truck, daily vehicle checks and safe loading techniques. Once confident with the operation of the forklift there’s a mandatory short practical test the last step in becoming a fully qualified fork lift driver.
